Responsibilities
- Lead customer technical projects by designing and delivering production-grade systems, reference architectures, custom applications, data ingestion, and ML/AI model integrations.
- Own architecture and design decisions for secure, scalable solutions aligned with customer needs and Databricks best practices.
- Guide customers through implementation, evaluation, adoption, architecture, and design of Databricks-based solutions.
- Embed with customer teams and manage technical stakeholders ranging from individual contributors to executives.
- Coordinate with Databricks engineering, product, customer support, project managers, architects, and customer teams to deliver engagements and resolve issues.
- Scope technical delivery work with engagement managers and manage project scope, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
- Create reusable accelerators, frameworks, documentation, and best practices that scale across customer accounts and inform the product roadmap.
- Provide customer training, integration support, technical feedback, and other implementation assistance.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms and analytics, or software engineering.
- Ability to write code in Python, Scala, JavaScript, or TypeScript using modern frameworks.
- Working knowledge of at least two cloud ecosystems among AWS, Azure, and GCP, with expertise in at least one.
- Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
- Experience designing and deploying performant, end-to-end data architectures and applications combining data pipelines, ML/AI models, and user-facing interfaces.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD, MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs.
- Experience delivering technical projects, managing scope and timelines, and translating complex concepts into actionable solutions.
- Experience working with enterprise clients and managing conflicts across broad stakeholder groups.
- Strong documentation and whiteboarding skills, along with curiosity and adaptability in exploring technologies for Databricks-based solutions.
- Databricks Certification is required.
