Responsibilities
- Design and program modules and components for a system processing over 24 million requests per second with latency under 50 ms.
- Optimize software for response time and resource consumption.
- Ensure the reliability and scalability of developed solutions.
- Create performance and correctness tests for new system components.
- Analyze technologies for applicability in production environments.
- Develop tools to monitor and analyze production system operation.
- Continuously optimize existing tools and processes.
Requirements
- Excellent understanding of complex IT systems across hardware, software, and algorithmic layers.
- Proficiency in programming.
- Very good knowledge of Internet protocols and technologies including DNS, HTTP, and cookies.
- Knowledge of concurrent programming and distributed systems from thread-level to continent-level systems.
- Practical ability to observe, monitor, and analyze production systems.
- Ability to evaluate system performance theoretically and diagnose and resolve production performance issues.
- Knowledge of high scalability and high availability problems and solutions.
- C1-level English and Polish.
- Computer Science, algorithmic complexity, and system architecture background through a formal CS degree, competitive programming experience such as OI/ICPC, or an equivalent track record.
