Responsibilities
- Design and program modules and components for a system processing over 24 million queries per second with low latency.
- Optimize software for response time and resource consumption.
- Ensure the reliability and scalability of developed solutions.
- Create performance and correctness tests for new system components.
- Evaluate new technologies for production applicability.
- Develop tools for monitoring and analyzing production systems.
- Continuously optimize existing tools and processes.
Requirements
- Demonstrated proficiency in programming.
- Strong understanding of complex IT systems across hardware, software, and algorithms.
- Very good knowledge of Internet protocols and technologies, including DNS, HTTP, and cookies.
- Knowledge of concurrent programming and distributed systems from thread-level to continent-level systems.
- Practical ability to observe, monitor, and analyze production systems.
- Ability to evaluate theoretical and actual system performance and resolve production performance problems.
- General knowledge of high scalability and high availability challenges and solutions.
- C1-level English and Polish.
- Background in computer science, algorithmic complexity, and system architecture through a formal computer science degree, competitive programming experience such as OI or ICPC, or an equivalent track record.
