Responsibilities
- Build and improve backend services and application logic using Node.js, Express.js, and NestJS.
- Develop and integrate APIs connecting different parts of the platform.
- Work with SQL queries, schemas, data models, and relational databases.
- Contribute to frontend features using React.js and Next.js.
- Investigate bugs, troubleshoot issues, and improve application reliability.
- Write clean, maintainable code and learn engineering best practices through code reviews.
- Collaborate with engineers, Product Managers, and other team members to deliver features from requirements to production.
- Own smaller features and progressively work on more complex engineering problems.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Good understanding of JavaScript, TypeScript, and programming fundamentals.
- Hands-on exposure to Node.js through internships, projects, coursework, or personal development.
- Familiarity with Express.js or NestJS.
- Basic understanding of backend application development and APIs.
- Familiarity with SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Some exposure to React.js and/or Next.js.
- Familiarity with Git and version control.
- Strong problem-solving fundamentals, willingness to learn unfamiliar technologies, and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous internships, meaningful personal projects, open-source contributions, or experience building and deploying applications are a strong plus.
