$143k - $286k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and architectural direction of scalable distributed systems for Marketplace and Seller experiences.
- Deliver platform capabilities spanning infrastructure, tooling, SDKs, ML frameworks, model runtimes, and feature stores.
- Drive the full software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, deployment, observability, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Build AI-driven applications, intelligent automation features, and integrations involving AI agents and ML components.
- Conduct system design reviews and contribute to API design, prototyping, architecture standards, and technical evaluations.
- Mentor engineers and junior leaders, provide design guidance, delegate work, and support technical growth.
- Partner with product, engineering, platform, and business stakeholders to define problems, requirements, metrics, and execution plans.
- Lead initiatives that improve code quality, developer experience, engineering productivity, system reliability, and operational excellence.
- Supervise and develop associates through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Promote company policies, ethics, compliance, inclusion, continuous improvement, and customer-focused business results.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area and 4 years of software engineering or related experience, or 6 years of software engineering or related experience.
- Preferred: master’s degree in a related computer or software engineering field and 2 years of software engineering or related experience.
- Experience with system architecture, distributed computing, modern platform design, scalable high-throughput systems, and GenAI-driven capabilities.
- Experience building AI-driven applications and integrating AI agents and ML components into production systems.
- Knowledge of accessibility practices, including WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and inclusive digital experiences.
- Ability to influence architecture across teams, manage stakeholders, mentor engineers, navigate ambiguity, and lead complex initiatives.
