Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions that meet operational and business needs.
- Code, test, debug, and maintain application systems, source control, and application software versions.
- Develop and improve scalable, low-latency, highly available advertising services, APIs, and platform capabilities.
- Define requirements, processes, and procedures for development, improvement, and testing projects.
- Collaborate with planners, data analysts, and UX designers to develop new services.
- Research new technologies, techniques, and industry trends and provide solutions that improve platform value and efficiency.
- Educate and mentor other engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least five years of experience designing and developing fault-tolerant, monitored front-end and large-scale operational systems.
- Proficiency with WebKit, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, and at least one of Node.js, React.js, Express.js, or Next.js.
- Expertise designing and developing RESTful and GraphQL services and microservice architectures.
- Experience developing user-facing services with React or other JavaScript frameworks.
- Experience with common front-end development tools including Babel, Webpack, and NPM.
- Strong knowledge of usability, Lean UX design, conceptual modeling, and trends.
- Ability to clearly understand and implement business requirements.
- Experience with unit testing, user testing, iterative design, and interaction design.
- Preferred experience in advertising or e-commerce domains.
- Preferred understanding of database systems and data warehousing concepts.
- Preferred experience deploying highly scalable cloud-based software and web services or APIs.
- Preferred experience with Amazon Web Services, distributed systems, service-based or message-based architectures, SQL, NoSQL, Kafka, Redis, Hive, Hadoop, and Spark.
- Preferred experience with Vue and microservice architectures.
