Responsibilities
- Lead STaaS architecture, technical strategy, and delivery with primary ownership of Redis/Valkey and queuing or messaging services.
- Design and implement high-throughput, low-latency Redis/Valkey platform services for caching, persistence, coordination, and internal workloads.
- Build reliable queuing and messaging abstractions supporting delivery guarantees, ordering, retries, dead-letter queues, replay, backpressure, and idempotent consumers.
- Develop the STaaS control plane for provisioning, lifecycle management, policy enforcement, quotas, and cross-cloud resource blueprints.
- Develop and maintain Terraform providers, modules, service blueprints, and provisioning workflows.
- Integrate Redis and messaging capabilities with security, tenancy, telemetry, and operational-management models.
- Implement authentication, authorization, network isolation, encryption, secrets management, and tenant or account boundaries.
- Design autoscaling, capacity management, sharding, failover, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies.
- Define operational standards for metrics, tracing, logging, alerting, dashboards, capacity planning, and service-level objectives.
- Lead migration strategies for existing Redis, Valkey, Service Bus, and Pub/Sub resources.
- Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, incident reviews, and hands-on technical guidance.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response while driving corrective actions to improve reliability.
Requirements
- 12+ years of hands-on software development experience in an object-oriented programming language such as C#, C++, Java, or an equivalent language.
- 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and operating distributed systems or cloud platform services in production.
- Experience with Redis or Valkey, including persistence, replication, clustering or sharding, failover, performance tuning, and capacity management.
- Experience designing queuing, pub/sub, or messaging systems with delivery semantics, ordering, retries, dead-letter handling, and consumer scalability.
- Experience with distributed systems, API design, concurrency, fault tolerance, consistency, production operations, and cloud infrastructure abstraction.
- Experience with cloud deployment, configuration, automation, and scripting tools.
- Preferred experience with Azure Managed Redis, Google Memorystore, Azure Service Bus, Google Pub/Sub, or comparable managed cloud services.
- Preferred experience building platform services across Azure, GCP, and AWS.
- Preferred experience with Redis client libraries, authentication sidecars, gateways, protocol adapters, multi-tenant platforms, migration tooling, observability, and infrastructure-as-code environments.
- Preferred experience leading platform teams supporting many internal service owners.
Benefits
- Hybrid work arrangement requiring access to an office and a minimum of two in-office days per week, with frequency varying by team.
- Docusign provides reasonable workplace and religious accommodations during the application process.
