Base Salary
$125k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop automation to deploy and manage on-premise Kubernetes clusters.
- Deploy and manage infrastructure including databases, monitoring, and distributed storage.
- Collaborate with software engineers to create scalable, operable, and maintainable products.
- Improve the full service lifecycle from inception and design through deployment, operation, and refinement.
- Support monitoring and alerting systems to maintain high availability.
- Perform hands-on integration and troubleshooting across the Starshield stack.
- Identify improvement opportunities and create solutions that enable high system availability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems/IT, or an engineering discipline plus at least one year of professional site reliability engineering or DevOps experience, or at least three years of such experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least one year of professional experience with Linux operating systems.
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or comparable infrastructure tools.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as OCI containers and Kubernetes.
- Scripting experience in Bash, Python, or similar languages.
- Development experience in Python, C++, or Go.
- Preferred: at least one year of Python and Python-based development framework experience.
- Preferred: experience managing Kubernetes clusters, Linux boot and systems configuration, distributed databases and data modeling, and large-scale server automation.
- Preferred: knowledge of testing, continuous integration, build, deployment, continuous monitoring, Bazel, Makefiles, performance improvement, and TCP/IP networking.
- Preferred: active Top Secret, Top Secret SCI, or DOE Level Q clearance.
- Must successfully obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
- Must satisfy SpaceX ITAR eligibility requirements or be eligible to obtain required authorizations.
