Base Salary
$125k - $164k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end quality strategy for batch analytics features, data pipelines, and APIs.
- Design and implement automated test frameworks to improve reliability, reduce defects, and increase deployment confidence.
- Develop test strategies covering functional, performance, security, accessibility, and end-to-end system validation.
- Evaluate architecture and technical designs for testability, scalability, performance, and quality risks.
- Lead exploratory testing and user-focused validation to improve customer experience and usability.
- Maintain and enhance automated test suites within Jenkins and TestNG frameworks and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and UX to embed quality into design and delivery workflows.
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical guidance.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software testing experience in cloud-based or distributed systems environments.
- Strong proficiency in Java or Python and experience contributing to test automation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins or equivalent CI/CD tools.
- Experience testing REST APIs through functional and automated approaches.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and end-to-end validation in multi-tenant applications.
- Experience with large-scale data systems or high-volume event-driven platforms.
- Strong analytical skills for identifying risks and designing validation strategies.
- Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and influence engineering practices.
- Preferred experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, and Lambda.
- Preferred familiarity with Hadoop, Spark, Presto, and Airflow.
- Preferred experience testing data pipelines and batch processing systems.
- Preferred background in performance, scalability, or security testing and shared testing frameworks used across multiple teams.
