Base Salary
$176k - $196k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build, architect, and maintain production-grade iOS applications for Compass’s real estate platform.
- Collaborate with engineers, Product, and Design to deliver projects that solve customer problems.
- Define, decompose, and lead complex projects from planning through release, potentially coordinating other engineers.
- Influence the product roadmap and recommend scalable architectural changes and technical solutions.
- Perform code reviews, design reviews, and write high-quality tests.
- Maintain high standards for code quality and operational excellence, including monitoring, alerting, and runbooks.
- Become a subject matter expert for services in the team’s domain and create technical documentation.
- Identify and remove developer-experience bottlenecks and improve engineering efficiency.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers in technical skills, best practices, and career development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of professional iOS development experience building, architecting, and maintaining production applications shipped to the App Store.
- Deep expertise in modern Swift practices, including SwiftUI and Swift Concurrency, plus scalable mobile architecture and the Apple deployment ecosystem.
- Strong computer science fundamentals and knowledge of iOS design patterns and best practices.
- Experience leading projects from planning through release, distributing work across a team, and mentoring junior engineers.
- Experience integrating with RESTful server-side services and using AI tools.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Design, and Engineering stakeholders.
- Strong attention to product design, detail, and customer needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and familiarity with Scrum/Agile development methodologies.

- Base pay range is $176,000-$196,100, with potential bonuses and restricted stock units in addition to benefits.
