Responsibilities
- Own the platform layer above managed GPU infrastructure, including model serving, inference runtimes, AI gateways, and supporting services.
- Deploy and operate scalable AI inference services using containers, Kubernetes, model-serving platforms, and AI gateway technologies.
- Improve platform observability, performance, availability, security, resilience, and resource utilization.
- Investigate complex distributed-system and performance issues across the AI platform.
- Establish engineering standards, operational guidance, and secure service designs for AI services, including offline environments.
- Support authentication, access control, rate limiting, service integration, and technical documentation.
Requirements
- Experience operating shared or business-critical platforms.
- Familiarity with large language models and the practical considerations of running them.
- Experience troubleshooting distributed systems and performance issues.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code and CI/CD.
- Experience or knowledge across Linux, application and server administration, containers, Kubernetes, AI inference and model-serving platforms, AI gateways, API management, GPU workloads, programming or scripting, monitoring, observability, SRE practices, secure service design, authentication, access control, rate limiting, and service integration.
- Programming or scripting experience with technologies such as Python, Bash, or Go.
- Ability to communicate effectively, engage stakeholders, adapt, exercise sound engineering judgment, and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Eligibility for full security clearance.
