Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure across multiple environments.
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK and CloudFormation.
- Design, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Establish and promote DevOps practices across engineering teams.
- Implement secure cloud solutions aligned with AWS security and governance standards.
- Manage IAM, encryption, key management, secrets management, and cloud security remediation.
- Lead incident response, problem management, root cause analysis, and reliability improvements.
- Support disaster recovery planning and platform resilience initiatives.
- Develop automation tools, scripts, and operational utilities.
- Review infrastructure and application code and contribute to platform modernization initiatives.
- Mentor engineering teams on AWS, cloud engineering, and DevOps practices.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, systems administration, platform engineering, or DevOps.
- Strong AWS experience in enterprise, startup, or scale-up environments.
- Demonstrated experience operating and supporting production environments at scale.
- Experience designing and managing AWS infrastructure with ECS, Lambda, VPC, Route 53, CloudFront, IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFormation, and AWS CDK.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, environment provisioning, CI/CD pipelines, Git-based source control, and pipeline tooling.
- Docker containerization experience.
- Strong understanding of IAM, encryption and key management, least-privilege access, Zero Trust principles, cloud security best practices, and security risk remediation.
- Ability to read, review, and modify application code where required.
- Database experience with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
- Preferred experience level of 5+ years in infrastructure, cloud, platform engineering, or DevOps roles, or equivalent production ownership, automation capability, AWS operational experience, and technical progression.
- Preferred experience with AWS Organizations, multi-account AWS environments, EKS, EC2, SNS, EventBridge, CloudWatch, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Kubernetes, Helm, Argo CD, SonarQube, Snyk, Nexus, AWS ECR, blue/green deployments, RDS administration, database migrations, backup and recovery planning, Java or other modern programming languages, startup or scale-up environments, cloud-platform development, cloud transformation, platform modernization, and AI-assisted engineering tools.
