Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, integrate, deploy, maintain, and enhance complex software applications.
- Develop front-end and back-end code, test plans, test automation suites, verification plans, and quality assurance procedures.
- Gather requirements and prepare BRD/SRD documentation where needed.
- Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, debugging, change-controlled deployments, and technical debt reduction.
- Resolve hardware, software, and communications malfunctions while considering business impact.
- Collaborate with data engineers, business users, project managers, and other engineers to deliver team objectives.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote reuse, best practices, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- 2–6 years of software development experience, including front-end and back-end development.
- Knowledge of C#, Java, HTML, Node.js, CSS, JSON, Angular, JavaScript, application frameworks, and containerization.
- Thorough knowledge of the software development life cycle and experience with application development toolkits.
- Knowledge of cross-platform interoperability, major platform toolkit features, and resolving hardware, software, and communications malfunctions.
- Strong teamwork and organizational skills; securities or financial-services industry experience is preferred.
