Responsibilities
- Implement Prime Brokerage solutions across FX and Equities using modern cloud-native technologies and workflows.
- Design and develop system architecture and scalable production applications.
- Collaborate with trading, quantitative, product, technology, and business stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions.
- Design, develop, and test new application features and continually improve software development quality and processes.
- Provide third-line production support for systems supported by dedicated first- and second-line teams.
- Build new systems, replace legacy systems, and modernize existing applications.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to departmental engineering practices and standards.
- Maintain current, comprehensive desktop procedures and supporting documentation.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or above, or equivalent education, in a STEM discipline.
- Proven software engineering and development experience with a strong understanding of computer systems.
- Hands-on experience with Java and Spring.
- Understanding of ultra-low-latency development practices and, preferably, FX.
- Experience building production-grade applications with AI coding tools such as Devin, Claude Code, and Codex.
- Strong SQL and database skills, plus experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, Solace, and MQ.
- Experience developing production-scale applications using caching technologies.
- Knowledge of software, hardware, and networks sufficient to define solutions and troubleshoot issues.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to analyze complex products and codebases hands-on.
- Knowledge of OpenShift, Kubernetes, and KDB is beneficial.
