Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and support secure, scalable transaction-processing solutions for Visa’s Acceptance Solutions platform.
- Spend approximately 60–75% of the role coding and deliver APIs, distributed systems, microservices, web services, and enterprise integration services.
- Implement event-driven architectures, authentication and authorization flows, observability, reliability practices, automated testing, and production support.
- Develop modern web applications using frontend frameworks and responsive, mobile-first design practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and drive engineering standards across teams.
- Apply generative AI, agentic AI workflows, RAG, and AI-assisted development tools using safe AI practices.
- Support regulated financial-services products, including PCI-DSS, SOX, and related compliance requirements.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience and a bachelor’s degree, or at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience building enterprise-scale distributed systems, APIs, integration platforms, microservices, or web services.
- Experience with event-driven architecture, Kafka, message queues, event streaming, or workflow orchestration.
- Experience with authentication and authorization technologies such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, SAML, mTLS, and IAM.
- Experience with observability and reliability tools and practices, including Splunk, Datadog, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and SLOs.
- Experience with automated, contract, performance, and API certification testing.
- Experience with generative AI, agentic AI workflows, RAG, intelligent automation, or AI-assisted tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code.
- Proficiency in one or more of Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, or Kotlin.
- Experience with API-first design, REST, OpenAPI, JSON, webhooks, and event-driven architecture.
- Experience with system design, architecture, debugging, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Experience in regulated industries, payments, banking, financial-services compliance, white-labeling, multi-tenant applications, or merchant and acquirer workflows.
- Experience with portal architecture, self-service platforms, internationalization, localization, design systems, and component libraries.
- Experience with React, Angular, Vue.js, or similar frontend technologies, plus responsive design, mobile-first development, UI/UX principles, and accessibility standards.
- Experience in a technical leadership role, with or without direct reports, and the ability to collaborate across functions.
