Base Salary
$197k - $207k/yr
Responsibilities
- Work with users, teammates, designers, and stakeholders to define problems, develop product ideas, and lead work from prototypes and experiments through deployment.
- Break ambiguous projects into manageable steps and coordinate contributions when needed.
- Write simple, readable code and create or improve patterns that make future development easier.
- Support teammate growth through code reviews and pairing sessions.
- Build and improve full-stack features, learner and tutor experiences, and systems that maintain safe, high-quality interactions.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of full-stack software engineering experience and a record of leading full-stack projects from ambiguous problem definition through launch and iteration.
- Ability to anticipate risks and balance speed, quality, and user-experience tradeoffs.
- Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, React, Next.js, and Postgres, or the ability to ramp up quickly.
- User-focused product judgment, strong code-quality practices, independence, and willingness to fill gaps as needed.
- Availability to work in a US timezone.
- Preferred: deep experience with TypeScript, Node.js, React, Next.js, Postgres, AWS, and GCP.
- Preferred: experience building mobile apps or working in education or ed-tech.
