Base Salary

$79k - $113k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze system and software requirements for testability.
  • Develop detailed test plans and test procedures with minimal guidance.
  • Create, execute, and maintain test cases with complete requirements traceability.
  • Perform hardware/software system and integration testing.
  • Document test results and produce clear, comprehensive reports.
  • Design, develop, and maintain test automation solutions to improve test coverage and efficiency.
  • Test and debug software, firmware, and hardware-based systems.
  • Assist with laboratory equipment setup, tracking, organization, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with peers, developers, project teams, and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.
  • At least 6 years of experience in software testing, embedded systems, or a related field.
  • In-depth understanding of electronic control systems, microcontrollers, and hardware/software integration.
  • Hands-on experience testing and debugging software, firmware, and hardware-based systems.
  • Experience developing programmatic test solutions or automation using Python, C, and/or C++.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows and Linux.
  • Experience with application lifecycle management tools supporting requirements traceability, test case development, and workflow management, such as IBM ELM.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively while adapting to changing priorities.
  • Desired qualifications include experience with geographically distributed teams and exposure to or interest in the rail and transportation industry.
