Responsibilities
- Build and expand Vimes’s web and mobile applications and influence the technology stack.
- Rapidly develop and test communication features, database integrations, and new public-safety systems.
- Help scale the platform toward StateRAMP and FedRAMP compliance.
- Generate data-driven insights and integrate securely with existing government databases.
- Work with the CTO and Stanford software engineering interns while developing leadership and managerial skills.
- Collaborate with designers to build UI components and improve user experience.
- Solve technical challenges across the product and contribute throughout the development process.
Requirements
- Highly skilled in React and React Native, with iOS or Android app development experience.
- Experience working with AWS-related services.
- Experience bringing products from concept to reality, particularly in startup or 0-to-1 environments.
- Experience writing production code for shipped full-stack applications.
- Experience working with communication platforms.
- Experience building NoSQL and SQL database schemas.
- Ability to learn new technology and relevant tools quickly.
- Experience in security engineering and compliance, including SOC 2, HIPAA, CJIS, or StateRAMP, is a plus.
- Experience at a govtech startup is a plus.
- Design experience is a plus.
