Responsibilities

  • Build and expand Vimes’s web and mobile applications and influence the technology stack.
  • Rapidly develop and test communication features, database integrations, and new public-safety systems.
  • Help scale the platform toward StateRAMP and FedRAMP compliance.
  • Generate data-driven insights and integrate securely with existing government databases.
  • Work with the CTO and Stanford software engineering interns while developing leadership and managerial skills.
  • Collaborate with designers to build UI components and improve user experience.
  • Solve technical challenges across the product and contribute throughout the development process.

Requirements

  • Highly skilled in React and React Native, with iOS or Android app development experience.
  • Experience working with AWS-related services.
  • Experience bringing products from concept to reality, particularly in startup or 0-to-1 environments.
  • Experience writing production code for shipped full-stack applications.
  • Experience working with communication platforms.
  • Experience building NoSQL and SQL database schemas.
  • Ability to learn new technology and relevant tools quickly.
  • Experience in security engineering and compliance, including SOC 2, HIPAA, CJIS, or StateRAMP, is a plus.
  • Experience at a govtech startup is a plus.
  • Design experience is a plus.
