Responsibilities
- Develop target-state and reference architectures for the AI/ML platform aligned with long-term personalization and intelligent automation goals.
- Establish governance guardrails for the GenAI ecosystem, including LLM observability, safety, prompt management, and cost awareness.
- Define golden paths, reusable frameworks, and multi-agent patterns to improve developer productivity for AI use cases.
- Standardize LLMOps and MLOps patterns using model gateways and automated pipelines for governed, self-service access.
- Lead build, buy, and partner evaluations for vector stores, evaluation frameworks, and distributed-computing technologies.
- Partner with senior leadership and coach Principal and Staff engineers to improve architectural practices across the organization.
- Balance rapid AI innovation with enterprise-grade security, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Requirements
- Typically 12+ years of experience in software engineering and architecture.
- At least 5 years of experience focused on AI/ML or data platforms at scale.
- Extensive enterprise architecture experience with cloud-native distributed systems, preferably on GCP.
- Deep understanding of RAG pipelines, agentic frameworks, large-scale data systems, and modern AI platform patterns.
- Experience with GCP AI services and platforms such as Vertex AI, GKE, and Dataflow, or equivalent enterprise-grade cloud AI services.
- Experience with large-scale systems supporting real-time search, ranking, or pricing is preferred, particularly in FinTech or high-volume e-commerce.
- A Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or a related quantitative field is preferred.
- Ability to connect business objectives with complex technical execution and influence Product, Finance, and Engineering stakeholders.
