Responsibilities
- Execute small to medium reliability projects independently and progress toward end-to-end solution delivery.
- Write robust, maintainable code and automation for payment processing and data ingestion workflows.
- Participate in incident triage, diagnosis, resolution, and root-cause remediation for high-availability payment platforms.
- Implement observability solutions using service-level indicators, service-level objectives, alerting, and telemetry tooling.
- Monitor and maintain Kafka-based data ingestion pipelines for integrity, throughput, and resilience.
- Reduce operational toil through systems engineering, automation, and application improvements.
- Use authorized AI capabilities, agentic models, and MCP-based frameworks for incident response, troubleshooting, post-incident analysis, runbook drafting, and reliability-risk identification.
- Validate AI-assisted recommendations and apply controls supporting resiliency, security, auditability, and data sensitivity.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in site reliability engineering concepts and 2+ years of applied experience.
- Ability to code in at least one programming language and write automation scripts.
- Experience maintaining cloud-based infrastructure, including deployment, scaling, and operational support.
- Familiarity with SRE practices such as toil reduction, error budgets, monitoring, SLO alerting, and telemetry collection.
- Familiarity with containers or Linux or Windows operating systems.
- Emerging knowledge of continuous integration, continuous delivery, and related tooling.
- Working knowledge of enterprise-authorized AI capabilities for SRE workflows, including validation and data-sensitivity awareness.
- Ability to assess AI-assisted operational recommendations for correctness and risk.
- Preferred experience includes payment platforms in financial services, Kafka and event-driven pipelines, observability tooling, AI agentic models, MCP-based frameworks, and secure regulated environments.
