Base Salary
$169k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical direction for device state/notifications and mobile apps teams.
- Design major software components, systems, and features.
- Review architecture designs and enforce high standards for performance and usability.
- Write maintainable code and lead technical design reviews.
- Assess engineering risks and guide strategic initiatives.
- Mentor and coach senior engineers to develop future technical leaders.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver on the product roadmap.
- Create groundbreaking experiences that enhance user safety and efficiency.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proven experience in designing and building complex cloud systems.
- Familiarity with various data storage systems, including relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with stream processing and message brokers.
- Nice to have: experience with web frontend technologies like React, Redux, and Typescript.
- Nice to have: experience with native mobile apps for iOS or Android.
- Nice to have: experience with Maps/Cartography.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and grow other senior software engineers.
- Strong customer empathy and collaboration skills.
