Base Salary
$175k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the fireworks.ai application end to end, including its user interface, APIs, data layer, and developer journey.
- Design, develop, test, and scale responsive web applications, backend services, and APIs.
- Define full stack architecture standards, API design practices, database schemas, and development workflows.
- Build reusable frontend component libraries and modular backend services.
- Support product-led growth through the web application, model playground, and onboarding workflows.
- Mentor full stack, frontend, and backend engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical coaching.
- Partner with Product, Design, Core AI, and Infrastructure Engineering on requirements, system design, timelines, and delivery.
- Align the developer experience across web, SDK, and CLI surfaces.
- Champion application performance, security, data integrity, and accessibility.
- Drive innovation in full stack development, cloud-native technologies, and AI orchestration frameworks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 6 years of professional full stack software development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in a technical leadership role such as tech lead, team lead, or engineering manager.
- Strong expertise in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and Next.js.
- Experience building server-side applications and designing RESTful or GraphQL APIs using backend languages such as Node.js, Python, or Go.
- Understanding of database systems, caching strategies, and data modeling.
- Proven record of delivering and scaling production-grade full stack web applications.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or OCI; Docker; and full stack CI/CD pipelines.
- Preferred experience in AI/ML-focused environments, with LLM APIs, vector databases, LangChain, or LlamaIndex.
- Preferred experience with startups, developer platforms, SaaS dashboards, playgrounds, sandboxes, open-source projects, component libraries, or developer tools.
- Experience mentoring or managing engineers, providing performance feedback, and supporting career development is preferred.
