Responsibilities
- Write well-tested, readable, maintainable code.
- Design, build, and ship backend services and GenAI-powered products such as AI Agents.
- Lead tasks independently from idea through execution.
- Build evaluation frameworks for GenAI-driven customer experiences.
- Extend APIs and data models within team services.
- Debug systems, improve reliability, and participate in incident resolution.
- Collaborate with machine learning, product, design, data science, and operations teams.
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, brown bags, and technical talks.
Requirements
- Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language such as Python, Java, or Go, with Python preferred.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, microservices, and service-oriented APIs.
- Exposure to an operational or analytical data system such as DynamoDB or Redis.
- Ability to write clear, thorough, scalable design documentation.
- Ability to learn new technologies rapidly and build scalable solutions.
- Ability to manage workload with guidance from senior engineers.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools responsibly, such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or AI agents.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred: hands-on exposure to LLMs, agentic workflows, or AI Agents through work, internships, coursework, or personal projects.
- Preferred: experience with prompt engineering, model evaluation pipelines, AI agent frameworks, or monitoring and debugging production services.
