Senior Software Engineer - Postgres

Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services that manage database clusters in ClickHouse Cloud.
- Extend the platform control plane to support new Postgres capabilities.
- Contribute to PostgreSQL extensions and data plane agents.
- Develop automation and tooling for cluster provisioning and lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, SRE, and product teams for operational excellence.
- Create APIs and integrations for new Postgres functionality.
- Enhance observability and debugging workflows for database services.
- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and on-call rotations.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience, preferably with database or cloud platform systems.
- Deep understanding of Postgres, including configuration and performance tuning.
- Strong programming skills in Ruby, Go, Rust, C, or Python.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, APIs, and automation tools.
- Understanding of distributed systems and service orchestration patterns.
- Pragmatic and detail-oriented mindset with a willingness to work across various tasks.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
