Base Salary

$113k - $155k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build and deploy autonomous security agents using established engineering patterns, owning agents from tool definitions through production monitoring.
  • Develop and maintain Python or Go tools for cloud queries, API integrations, and remediation actions with tests, validation, and explicit failure modes.
  • Create evaluation suites for agent accuracy, regressions, and prompt-injection resistance.
  • Automate remediation for IAM findings, cloud misconfigurations, Kubernetes/EKS drift, and Terraform workflows.
  • Implement short-lived, least-privilege agent credentials using OIDC federation and workload identity, with auditable agent actions.
  • Monitor production agents for cost, latency, iteration limits, and false positives, and resolve failures in code.
  • Contribute to real-time asset discovery and SBOM-generation pipelines.
  • Review and document agent logic and prompts, and provide rotational on-call support for owned systems and pipelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in technical security or infrastructure engineering.
  • Proficiency in Python or Go with experience writing tested, reviewed software supported by CI.
  • Experience building or meaningfully contributing to an LLM-powered tool or agent, including tool-calling, ReAct-style loops, and retrieval.
  • Fluent and skeptical use of Cursor, Claude Code, or Copilot while reviewing all generated code changes.
  • Knowledge of identity and access management including SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SCIM.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS security services and Kubernetes/EKS, including workload credential management.
  • Working knowledge of prompt injection, RAG data leakage, over-privileged agents, and the OWASP LLM Top 10.
  • Clear written communication, collaboration skills, and willingness to grow from operating security tools into building autonomous systems.

Benefits

  • Base pay is listed at $113,040.00–$155,430.00 USD annually, with possible equity and bonus eligibility.
  • The position is based in Procore’s Austin, Texas office.
  • The role includes rotational on-call support.
  • The position is intended to begin immediately.
