Base Salary

$102k - $219k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and validate software for silicon bring-up, platform enablement, and feature readiness.
  • Prototype and evaluate hardware and software capabilities and perform root-cause analysis of system-level issues.
  • Develop and maintain automated validation frameworks, regression test suites, and supporting test infrastructure.
  • Analyze performance, reliability, and compatibility issues across the platform stack.
  • Debug and enhance device drivers, platform software, and related system components.
  • Collaborate with architects, hardware engineers, firmware developers, operating system teams, and external silicon partners.
  • Create maintainable, modular, reusable software components emphasizing quality and diagnosability.
  • Participate in technical design, code, and validation reviews and contribute in an Agile development environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in C, C++, C#, or Python, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred minimum of 3 years of experience in software and/or product development.
  • Proven C/C++ design, coding, debugging, and testing skills.
  • Experience with SoC bring-up, bootloaders, platform initialization, and hardware enablement.
  • Knowledge of PCIe, NVMe, USB, I2C, SPI, UART, and related peripherals and interfaces.
  • Experience developing and debugging device drivers and working with Windows Plug and Play architecture and device management.
  • Understanding of operating system fundamentals including memory management, scheduling, interrupts, synchronization, and multithreaded programming.
  • Experience with kernel debugging, crash dump analysis, hardware debugging, JTAG-based bring-up, performance analysis, system troubleshooting, and scalable automated test infrastructure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Benefits

  • The typical U.S. base pay range is USD $102,100–$202,200 per year, with a separate range for the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area.
  • Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
