
Software Integration Quality Engineer
General MotorsResponsibilities
- Develop and execute manual and automated test plans and procedures on subsystem test benches.
- Author automation test scripts.
- Build, maintain, and manage test environments for manual and automated test runs.
- Triage system-level nonconformities by acquiring and analyzing data logs.
- Document anomalies using company issue-tracking tools.
- Track issue resolution from origination through verification, closure, and monitoring.
- Support on-time, high-quality software launches and interact with design, systems, suppliers, and back-office teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in software quality.
- Understanding of automotive serial data protocols such as CAN and Ethernet.
- Experience with software QA, triage, and log analysis.
- Ability to manage multiple project assignments and switch between tasks as timing and resources require.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate test vehicles.
- Preferred: master’s degree in engineering or computer science, 5+ years of software quality experience, OTA reflash testing, vehicle electrical systems and data buses, Python or similar scripting, automotive tools, requirements documentation, vehicle development processes, and software quality automation.
