Responsibilities
- Build and scale test automation, quality infrastructure, and performance-testing systems.
- Design and implement core automation frameworks, including the migration from Cypress to Playwright and development of a performance-testing framework.
- Perform root-cause analysis on product defects and test failures, determining whether issues originate in the product, test, or environment.
- Lead challenging quality initiatives from ideation through deployment and ongoing improvement, including AI-assisted testing.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers and contribute to higher quality standards across engineering teams.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience building and maintaining test automation for complex software systems.
- Excellent programming ability in JavaScript or TypeScript and experience maintaining production-grade automation code.
- Proven experience designing, leading, and delivering large-scale, cross-functional quality initiatives.
- Ability to independently triage and debug test failures and perform root-cause analysis on product bugs and flaky tests.
- Hands-on experience integrating AI into quality workflows, including test generation and flaky-test triage.
- Significant experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership.
- Experience working across multiple engineering environments and driving quality strategy and vision.
