Base Salary

$72k - $82k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain automated tests for new features, bug fixes, regression scenarios, APIs, integrations, and customer workflows.
  • Own and evolve the automated test suite using reusable components, refactoring, reliable test design, code reviews, and maintainability practices.
  • Design and implement UI, API, and integration tests based on risk, coverage, execution speed, and maintainability.
  • Validate authentication, authorization, error handling, data integrity, business logic, releases, and application behavior.
  • Investigate automated test failures, distinguish product, test, environment, and test-data issues, and eliminate flaky tests.
  • Identify coverage gaps, improve QA practices and tooling, and integrate automated testing into development and release workflows.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management on requirements, testability, test strategy, quality risks, test results, and release readiness.
  • Use SQL and diagnostic tools to validate data and troubleshoot application behavior.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in QA Engineering, SDET, software development, or web application test automation.
  • Strong Playwright experience and the ability to build and extend a production-grade Playwright suite.
  • Strong programming fundamentals and the ability to write maintainable TypeScript test automation and understand application code.
  • Experience testing REST APIs, including Swagger/OpenAPI-documented endpoints.
  • Experience designing tests across UI, API, and integration layers and understanding the appropriate use of each.
  • Knowledge of test automation architecture, test isolation, reusable components, test data management, assertions, parallel execution, and maintainability.
  • Experience with Git, pull-request-based workflows, code reviews, CI/CD practices, and automated tests in development pipelines.
  • Experience using SQL or relational databases to validate data and troubleshoot application behavior.
  • Experience with test management and issue tracking tools such as TestRail, Jira, or equivalent.
  • Understanding of functional, regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory testing methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in Agile environments, including Scrum or Kanban.
  • Preferred qualifications include large-scale automation framework experience, TypeScript and Node.js experience beyond testing, AWS familiarity including S3 and CloudWatch, enterprise application testing, API-first testing, test reporting and quality metrics, and performance, accessibility, or security testing familiarity.
