Responsibilities
- Create manual and automated test plans, strategies, cases, and scripts from product specifications.
- Execute test plans and cases, document expected versus actual results, and compile test outcomes.
- Set up and maintain testing environments, including cloud application testing environments.
- Track defects through resolution and collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
- Use SQL scripts to populate data and validate test results.
- Review software development processes and product documentation to improve quality and accuracy.
- Communicate product issues to stakeholders and provide support before general availability releases.
- Estimate testing effort for product enhancements and maintain knowledge of products, operations, and systems.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in software testing or a related field.
- Experience testing cloud applications, preferably with Azure.
- Preferred experience testing APIs, performance, security, relational databases, and automated testing tools.
- Knowledge of quality assurance methods, software development lifecycle practices, and software defect documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and specialized software tools.
- Effective communication, customer service, planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently or in a team, manage multiple projects, and develop automated testing programs.
- Experience in the software or financial industry and knowledge of Agile methodology are preferred.
