Base Salary
$175k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build tools for quick diagnosis and resolution of customer issues across distributed systems.
- Develop workflows and automation to reduce time-to-resolution and eliminate manual tasks.
- Collaborate with Customer Success, Support, SRE, and Product teams to identify gaps and deliver tooling solutions.
- Design systems that support rapid growth in customers and infrastructure.
- Enhance logging, metrics, and tracing capabilities for actionable insights.
- Guide engineers through design reviews and implementation.
- Maintain internal tooling for testing, troubleshooting, and debugging customer issues.
- Build platforms for visibility into system health, usage, and customer environments.
- Contribute to architectural decisions for improved system observability and maintainability.
- Drive best practices in tooling and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Proven experience building internal tools or platforms that enhance developer productivity.
- Strong understanding of Customer Success, Support, or Operations team needs.
- 5+ years of software experience in backend development.
- Experience designing and operating scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and infrastructure tooling like Kubernetes and Docker.
- Ability to work with non-engineering stakeholders to translate needs into technical solutions.
- Strong inclination toward automation and building self-service capabilities.
- Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction.
- Excellent communication skills for articulating technical concepts.
