Responsibilities
- Maintain, monitor, and improve on-premises compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and container infrastructure.
- Manage backup and disaster recovery processes, including local and offsite backups.
- Apply operating system, hypervisor, firmware, and application patches.
- Design, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Deploy and maintain virtual machines and infrastructure across VMware, Linux KVM, Microsoft Azure, and AWS.
- Support SAML, LDAP, and Active Directory identity and access management integrations.
- Perform systems and network administration, including DNS, VPNs, firewall coordination, SSL certificates, and secure remote access.
- Automate operational and deployment tasks using scripting and infrastructure management tools.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams on deployment processes, operational readiness, observability, and platform reliability.
- Maintain Perl, Ruby, and Shell scripts for customer deployment, configuration, backup and restore, high availability, and administrative tasks.
- Create and maintain technical infrastructure, deployment, operations, and recovery documentation.
- Provide occasional after-hours or on-call support for critical systems.
Requirements
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting experience is advantageous.
- Experience with Shell, Ruby, Perl, or Python scripting is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift containerization is advantageous.
- Experience with systems administration and networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, and routing, is advantageous.
- Experience managing Cisco firewalls and configuring or maintaining VPNs is advantageous.
- Experience using AI-assisted tools to improve productivity and operational effectiveness is advantageous.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is advantageous.
- Must use only company-approved AI tools and follow the documented company AI usage policy.
