Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers working on distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Build and enhance a flexible, cloud-based account-acquisition platform supporting rapid experimentation and personalized customer experiences.
- Use Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services to deliver software solutions.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Identify improvement opportunities, perform targeted refactoring, reduce technical debt, and optimize distributed-system performance.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and influence long-term technology strategy in a you-build-it-you-own-it environment.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to internal and external technology communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferred: 7 or more years coding with more than two of Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, and Scala.
- Preferred: 3 or more years with databases and database management systems, cloud technologies, front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, cloud troubleshooting, observability, or related engineering practices.
- Preferred: experience with open-source frameworks, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing frameworks, and Git-based version control.
- Preferred: experience with AI-based coding tools, interactive AI tooling, mentoring engineers, leading cross-functional engineering initiatives, and establishing coding standards and design patterns.

- New York, NY annual base salary range of $215,200 to $245,600 for this role, plus eligibility for performance-based incentive compensation.
