Responsibilities
- Own the health, performance, scalability, reliability, and availability of ML platform infrastructure and services.
- Build automation and platform solutions that eliminate manual processes, reduce operational toil, improve cost efficiency, and enable faster product delivery.
- Support ML training, inference, serving workloads, and associated platform tooling across AWS-based transactional and analytical environments.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve distributed systems using observability, incident response, root cause analysis, error budgets, and SLA/SLO practices.
- Manage and evolve cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters at production scale.
- Collaborate with Ads engineering, data science, ML platform, infrastructure, and product teams.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in internet-facing backend production systems, SRE, or ML Operations roles on large-scale distributed cloud infrastructure.
- Proven expertise with AWS-managed infrastructure and familiarity with multiple AWS services.
- Familiarity with the machine learning lifecycle and technologies such as NVIDIA Triton, AnyScale Ray, and Apache Airflow.
- Strong programming skills in at least one of Python, Java, Rust, Go, or a similar language.
- Hands-on Linux experience with deep knowledge of Linux internals.
- Demonstrated Infrastructure as Code experience, especially with Terraform.
- Strong knowledge of SRE concepts including monitoring, alerting, observability, incident response, root cause analysis, error budgets, and SLAs/SLOs.
- Experience building tools or services that automate platform operations, reduce toil, or improve cost efficiency is preferred.
- Production experience managing Kubernetes clusters at scale and troubleshooting distributed systems under real-world load is preferred.
- Understanding of modern GPU architectures such as NVIDIA H100, B200, GB200, and AWS Inferentia, associated drivers, high-performance fabrics, network architecture, power, and thermal limits is preferred.
- Clear communication and cross-functional collaboration skills are preferred; AWS certifications or broad AWS experience are a plus.
