Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases and scripts for functional, regression, integration, system, API, database, and end-to-end testing.
- Create and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
- Analyze requirements, specifications, and user stories to establish test coverage and validate new features, bug fixes, and release candidates.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects in JIRA or similar tools while supporting root-cause analysis with developers.
- Conduct frontend UI and backend API/database testing across web, mobile, and platform applications as applicable.
- Write test plans, test cases, test reports, maintain test data and traceability, and contribute to QA standards and automation frameworks.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, retrospectives, and release readiness discussions.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to improve test environments, release quality, and testing strategy.
- Mentor junior test engineers and provide guidance on test execution, defect documentation, and quality practices.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in manual and automated testing of web applications.
- Hands-on experience with frontend UI testing and backend API and database testing.
- Strong test automation experience with Selenium, Playwright, or similar tools.
- Working knowledge of Core Java and experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Proficiency with Postman for API testing.
- Ability to write and execute basic to intermediate SQL queries.
- Understanding of the software testing life cycle and defect tracking processes.
- Experience with JIRA or other test management platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
