Base Salary

$168k - $270k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable software systems for managing NVIDIA’s cloud infrastructure.
  • Build network and systems automation software for multi-tenant cloud infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain robust, scalable end-to-end software solutions for hardware and networking management.
  • Own code through development, commit, testing, production deployment, and operational support.
  • Respond to real-time operational events and support systems used by internal or external customers.
  • Design and implement maintainable APIs for consumers.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, product architects, product managers, internal customers, and other teams.
  • Participate in relevant open-source communities.
  • Present roadmaps, vision, and demonstrations to internal stakeholders and NVIDIA leadership.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience designing and building distributed software systems.
  • A BS or MS degree in computer science or a related area, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to program in a mainstream systems language such as C, C++, Golang, or Rust.
  • Experience designing and implementing maintainable consumer APIs.
  • Practical knowledge of asynchronous programming, type safety, threading models, state machines, and data structures.
  • Experience with data persistence using SQL or similar technologies.
  • Understanding of secure communication protocols such as mutual TLS and IPsec.
  • Knowledge of SRE principles including observability, SLOs, and logging.
  • Track record of directly supporting systems for external customers or demanding internal customers.
  • Preferred experience with a hyperscale cloud service provider.
  • Preferred knowledge of IP, IPv6, BGP, HTTP, ICMP, VXLAN, Geneve, FoU, GRE, and other tunneling protocols.
  • Preferred familiarity with InfiniBand networking.
  • Preferred experience with host management systems including DHCP, Redfish, and UEFI.
  • Preferred experience with host security services including TPM, TXT, and Secure Boot.
  • Preferred experience with Kubernetes and distributed task scheduling.
