Base Salary
$168k - $334k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage on-premises HPC infrastructure supplemented by cloud computing.
- Design and optimize scalable enterprise NAS and S3-based storage solutions for data-intensive applications.
- Develop automation for deployment, management, monitoring, alerting, and self-service infrastructure consumption.
- Document procedures and practices and evaluate distributed file-system technologies.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand developer workflows and infrastructure requirements.
- Guide methodologies for building, testing, and deploying applications for performance and resource efficiency.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience with 8+ years of relevant experience, or an MS with 5+ years or Ph.D. with 3 years of experience.
- 8+ years of experience developing technology solutions and resolving HPC application performance bottlenecks.
- Experience designing, deploying, and managing enterprise NAS solutions such as NetApp and Pure Storage and S3-based storage such as Cloudian MinIO.
- Experience with parallel or distributed file systems such as Lustre or GPFS.
- Programming or scripting experience with Python, Bash, or Golang.
- Strong experience operating services in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with monitoring stacks such as Prometheus/Grafana, Elasticsearch/Kibana, Splunk, or Zabbix.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience with RDMA fabrics such as InfiniBand or RoCE, HPC cluster management tools such as Slurm, PBS, or LSF, and containerization technologies such as Docker, Mesosphere DCOS, or Kubernetes.
