Responsibilities
- Build scalable backend services and APIs for a CPC-bidding marketplace and brand tools using PHP 8.2+ and Laravel.
- Write unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and identify refactoring opportunities for high-throughput ad-line pipelines.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Frontend Engineers, and Senior Tech Leads to scope marketplace features and translate AdTech requirements into working code.
- Follow repository structures, coding standards, and CI/CD processes to deliver reliable backend updates to production.
- Monitor system health, resolve backend errors, and maintain fast and stable endpoints for real-time ad serving and bidding.
- Use Cursor, Claude Code, and Gemini to accelerate boilerplate development, testing, and problem-solving.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or a comparable field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least three years of professional backend software development experience.
- Strong knowledge of the modern PHP ecosystem, including PHP 8.2+ and Laravel, with proficiency in object-oriented design and clean-code principles.
- Practical experience building secure APIs, implementing authentication and authorization, and configuring request validation and rate limiting.
- Good knowledge of relational databases, including efficient SQL queries, basic table-schema design, indexes, and migrations.
- Familiarity with application logging, error tracking, and production monitoring tools such as Datadog.
- Experience using modern AI development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Gemini.
- Ownership-oriented mindset, pragmatic engineering approach, and clear communication skills.
- AdTech or loyalty-industry experience, including self-service campaign dashboards, ad-tech delivery systems, budgeting engines, or reward and voucher systems, is a plus.
