Responsibilities
- Build high-traffic web applications with PHP and Laravel.
- Design and implement internal and external APIs and background jobs processing more than one million jobs per hour at peak times.
- Lead the technical conception of features supporting newly designed business processes.
- Own features from initial implementation through production operation, including health, performance, and maintainability.
- Contribute to application architecture decisions with the Lead Engineer and explore new technologies.
- Design and maintain end-to-end, integration, and unit tests.
- Deploy code through the GitLab CI/CD pipeline to AWS Elastic Container Service.
- Monitor applications using Datadog and Sentry dashboards and alerting.
- Share knowledge and ideas through regular technical talks.
Requirements
- Excellent coding skills in PHP 8 and Laravel.
- Expertise designing, securing, and scaling APIs.
- Experience designing and implementing end-to-end, integration, and unit tests.
- Experience with AWS, Git, Valkey, or equivalent technologies.
- Hands-on experience with relational database design and performance optimization, including MySQL 8.
- Ability to write well-structured, efficient, and maintainable code and maintain codebase quality.
- Willingness to work in an English-speaking environment.
- Experience with SQS, ECS Fargate, and Yii 1.1 is a plus.
