Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, manage, and optimize OpenStack-based private cloud infrastructure.
- Maintain OpenStack services including Nova, Neutron, Cinder, and Keystone, with exposure to Octavia, Designate, and Masakari.
- Implement and manage Kubernetes clusters and deploy applications within Kubernetes environments.
- Integrate OpenStack and Kubernetes and develop automation for provisioning, monitoring, and scaling cloud resources.
- Monitor performance, optimize configurations, and troubleshoot OpenStack, Kubernetes, SDN OVN networking, CPU utilization, and disk utilization.
- Implement security best practices, manage access controls and authentication and authorization mechanisms, and support compliance requirements.
- Create technical documentation and operational procedures and report on system performance, capacity, and utilization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide technical support, and advise customers on stability and security risks and alternatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong Linux system administration experience and proficiency with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Hands-on experience deploying, configuring, and managing OpenStack.
- Knowledge of software-defined storage systems such as Ceph and cloud-native principles.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Prior experience in a customer-facing support role.
- Relevant certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, or Certified OpenStack Administrator are valued.
- Familiarity with VMware, AWS, Azure, GCP, software-defined networking, Terraform, or Ansible is optional.
