Responsibilities
- Build, operate, and improve Banner Health’s multi-account Amazon EKS container platform.
- Write and extend Terraform modules and maintain GitHub Actions and ArgoCD deployment pipelines.
- Manage Kubernetes cluster and gateway upgrades, platform performance, reliability, security, observability, and cost.
- Onboard application teams to the platform and its self-service capabilities.
- Architect cloud services spanning storage, security, networking, and compute.
- Provide production support, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continual service improvement.
- Develop automation and tools to reduce repetitive support activities.
- Lead project teams, participate in architecture reviews, write runbooks and documentation, and mentor less experienced team members.
- Partner with security, networking, application engineering, vendors, and stakeholders across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working knowledge.
- Eight to twelve years of work experience developing enterprise applications.
- In-depth knowledge of the job function, programming, cloud technology, and enterprise application development.
- Hands-on production Kubernetes experience and strong Terraform infrastructure-as-code skills.
- Scripting ability in Python, Go, or Bash and familiarity with AWS.
- Experience with medium-scale project planning and mentoring less experienced team members.
- Strong communication, presentation, influence, and complex technical-problem-solving skills.
- Preferred: three to four years of experience implementing enterprise cloud solutions.
- Preferred: significant development and operations or engineering experience.
- Preferred cloud certifications: AZ-301, AZ-400, and AZ-500.
- Preferred knowledge of Java, C++, C#, .NET Core, hardware environments, and program logic.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud OCI/OKE is a plus.
