Base Salary
$40k - $80k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design architecture for new software components and suggest improvements to applications, UI/UX, and the software baseline.
- Develop front-end applications and back-end microservices in collaboration with on-site and remote engineers.
- Solve technical problems, meet program objectives within the agile development cycle, and introduce new approaches to mission needs.
- Build new UI applications using modern technologies, design patterns, and open-source tools.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and customer-focused team environment.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
- Entry-level coding experience and knowledge.
- Experience using REST-based web services.
- Familiarity with modern web technologies, HTML5, CSS, CSS preprocessors such as SASS, Less, or Stylus, and JavaScript build tools such as Browserify, WebPack, or Closure.
- Familiarity with Java Spring Boot, Linux environments, and Linux shell scripting.
- Strong organizational, attention-to-detail, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
- Preferred familiarity with WebSockets, Node, Cesium, Open Layers, Spring, Docker, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, SQL databases, AWS, deployments, DevOps, and Git.
- Preferred knowledge of microservices-based architecture and emerging desktop, web, and mobile application development trends.
