Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, configure, and customize the backend Shopify B2B Commerce platform, including Shopify Apps, Functions, Extensions, and APIs.
- Design and develop complex B2B capabilities beyond Shopify’s standard features and implement related integrations.
- Provide backend expertise, data, and API endpoints for headless frontend teams and SEO-optimized user experiences.
- Architect and develop Shopify-Salesforce integrations and features supporting assisted and self-service sales and service capabilities.
- Drive integrations among Shopify, Salesforce, ERP, DWH, and internal or external systems using APIs and middleware.
- Contribute to marketing automation, AI-driven sales and service tools, vendor solutions, and other digital roadmap initiatives.
- Use modern software development, version control, quality assurance, continuous integration, and deployment practices to deliver clean, efficient, documented code.
- Translate stakeholder and technical partner requirements into scalable solutions and contribute to the strategic direction of the digital landscape.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience as a full-stack engineer building eCommerce or digital platforms for a B2B business.
- Proficiency with Shopify B2B, Shopify Apps, Shopify Functions and Extensions, and Shopify APIs from a backend perspective in a headless context.
- Experience integrating Shopify, Salesforce, ERP, DWH, and other enterprise systems.
- Experience with the Salesforce ecosystem, including Apex, Lightning, Flow, validation rules, automations, and APIs.
- Ability to write SQL queries from scratch and knowledge of data warehouse concepts and tools such as BigQuery.
- Experience with software development and deployment tools including GitHub, Gearset, and Kubernetes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Shopify Verified Skills and Badges, Salesforce Developer certifications, iPaaS or cloud integration experience, AI coding tool experience, and familiarity with ERP, CRM, marketing automation, data analytics, and business intelligence systems are preferred.
