Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and implement security solutions for desktop and mobile applications across Windows, macOS, iOS, iPad, and ChromeOS.
- Write production code for native and web environments, with emphasis on lower-level code interfacing with operating systems.
- Provide technical leadership for architecture, design decisions, work decomposition, engineering quality, and team unblocking.
- Collaborate through ensemble or mob programming with engineers, product owners, architects, and stakeholders.
- Lead code reviews, design reviews, testing strategy discussions, and improvements to engineering standards and practices.
- Investigate and resolve complex production issues, ensuring root causes are understood and addressed.
- Drive adoption of security policies, development standards, AI-augmented engineering practices, and new tools or methods.
- Mentor teammates, provide actionable feedback, participate in engineering interviews, and guide technical direction.
Requirements
- 8+ years of production-level software development experience, including significant native desktop or platform-level application experience and ownership of complex systems through their lifecycle.
- Deep hands-on experience with native Windows development and lower-level operating-system APIs, memory, processes, kernel-level interfaces, or drivers.
- Strong production C++ experience, including Win32 APIs, kernel-mode components, or driver development.
- Experience improving code structure and architecture for testability, maintainability, and scalability across multiple languages and frameworks.
- Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, React, Node.js, C++, and Swift.
- Familiarity with GitHub-based version control and AWS or similar cloud platforms in software delivery workflows.
- Experience defining engineering standards, leading code and design reviews, and driving adoption of improvements with measurable impact.
- Strong technical research, problem-solving, communication, mentoring, and technical leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively with mob programming and investigate large open-source, undocumented, and closed-source systems.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Ability to travel 3–5 times per year to the NYC or Reston, Virginia office.
- Preferred experience with anti-cheat controls, resilient client-side systems in adversarial or security-sensitive environments, low-level debugging, and assembly review.
