Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, debug, and review secure, high-quality production software across multiple technical areas.
- Build and maintain primarily Go-based production services and tooling while contributing across a mixed-language codebase.
- Identify and automate recurring issue remediation to improve the operational stability of software applications and systems.
- Lead evaluations of vendors, startups, internal teams, and architectural designs for applicability within existing systems.
- Lead Software Engineering communities of practice to promote adoption of new technologies.
- Drive responsible adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices, including code review, refactoring, testing, incident analysis, and root-cause analysis.
- Apply software development lifecycle tooling and automation to improve engineering outcomes.
- Foster an inclusive, diverse, respectful, and growth-oriented team culture.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with advanced applied experience.
- Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline, such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile.
- In-depth knowledge of financial-services industry technology systems and practical cloud-native experience.
- Production experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data.
- Ability to design and deliver reliable microservices with clear APIs and strong test coverage.
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI engineering practices, including data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Preferred experience with Go, Starlark, Java, Groovy, Shell, Python, API design, relational or NoSQL databases, observability tooling, Docker, Kubernetes, and unit, integration, and contract testing.
