Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Build APIs, MCPs, and tools that help AI agents map data concepts to warehouse entities.
- Improve semantic layers for metric definitions, lineage, ownership, and reliability.
- Build ingestion and infrastructure for timely analytics and experimentation while balancing freshness, accuracy, reliability, and cost.
- Develop tools for query drafting, root cause analysis, and data visualization.
- Own architecture, implementation, production rollout, and adoption.
- Lead technical direction across teams, resolve dependencies, mentor engineers, and raise engineering quality.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building and operating a data platform.
- Track record of leading complex technical projects across teams as an individual contributor.
- Strong software engineering skills combined with deep data expertise.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or similar.
- Clear technical communication and ability to build alignment with engineers, data scientists, analysts, and product partners.
- Preferred experience with AI-agent infrastructure, semantic layers, metrics platforms, data catalogs, lineage, data pipelines, APIs, SDKs, or self-service platforms.
- Preferred familiarity with Airflow, dbt, Databricks, sqlmesh, DataHub, Superset, or Snowflake.
- Preferred expertise in SQL and Python for building data pipelines and practical experience using AI development tools while maintaining engineering quality.
