Responsibilities
- Ship foundational services to enable Klaviyo engineering to move faster with confidence.
- Build a deep understanding of engineering needs across the organization.
- Design, develop, and deliver software to improve availability, scalability, latency, and cost efficiency.
- Create systems and processes for highly available and scalable applications.
- Leverage technologies like Python, Go, AWS, and Kubernetes.
- Mentor and pair with other engineers to enhance software quality.
- Identify and drive cost-optimization opportunities across the platform.
Requirements
- BA or BS Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience operating and scaling complex distributed systems.
- Experience in a cloud-native environment.
- Proven experience developing applications in Python and Go.
- Fundamental understanding of Linux and networking stack.
- Experience with Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, and observability tools.
- Familiarity with high-volume data processing and storage systems.
