Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and manage application systems in production.
- Perform root cause analysis, resolve or escalate technical issues, and deliver permanent customer fixes.
- Research, design, implement, test, and modify software programs.
- Manage incidents, changes, releases, problems, knowledge, risks, audits, and service-level obligations using ITIL processes.
- Deploy software tools, maintain environments, perform data and environment refreshes, and identify availability issues.
- Coordinate with customer teams, Product and Engineering, infrastructure support, vendors, business analysts, and systems analysts.
- Lead application upgrades and technology solutions within the yearly book of work.
- Create and maintain knowledge base articles, incident logs, technical documentation, and post-mortems.
- Coach and mentor less experienced team members and serve as a subject matter expert.
- Stay current on product features, changes, and issues while communicating support decisions and findings to stakeholders.
Requirements
- 6+ years of total experience, including at least 5 years in software development or support engineering.
- Advanced knowledge of Java or C#/.NET debugging and scripting with PowerShell, Unix, or another scripting language.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, Tableau, and ETL processes.
- Working knowledge of SDLC and Agile processes.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent IT education.
- Demonstrable experience leading projects to successful conclusions.
- Strong customer focus and experience working with cross-functional or cross-department teams.
- Strong problem-solving, organization, resolution-management, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
- ITIL certification is preferred.
- Ability to use AI tools to improve productivity and workflows while applying responsible and ethical judgment to data and AI outputs.
