Base Salary

$124k - $223k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build forward-looking data strategy for broad and complex requirements.
  • Lead data architecture, design, prototyping, implementation, and production delivery for product and enterprise data initiatives.
  • Build and evolve scalable data warehouses, big data platforms, real-time and batch processing systems, and reusable frameworks.
  • Provide technical leadership, develop technical plans and backlogs, and guide functional teams through execution.
  • Partner with product managers, designers, architects, platform engineers, and other engineering groups to build features and define product descriptions.
  • Own features and systems over their lifecycle, improve surrounding system health, and assist Operations and Support teams with production issues.
  • Develop tests to ensure application quality, performance, and scalability.
  • Improve engineering and data standards, tooling, and processes while supporting risk management and data confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
  • Eight or more years of relevant experience.
  • Seven or more years developing complex data platforms, distributed systems, SaaS, cloud solutions, and microservices.
  • Six or more years developing data warehouses, big data platforms, real-time and batch processing, and data standards.
  • Four or more years developing business intelligence solutions.
  • Two or more years developing or operationalizing AI/ML models, including feature engineering, data pipelines, model operationalization, and model monitoring.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering business-critical systems and designing scalable systems.
  • Experience with data warehouses, star or snowflake schemas, SQL Server or equivalent, HDFS, Elasticsearch, ETL development, and IBM InfoSphere or equivalent.
  • Experience using Python, Spark, PySpark, R, or DataRobot for data science solutions.
  • Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging frameworks such as Pub/Sub, Kafka, and RabbitMQ.
  • Working experience with Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle practices, secure coding, testing, DevOps practices, and software development methodologies.
  • Preferred qualifications include an MS or PhD, TensorFlow, SageMaker, scikit-learn, PyCharm, Cloudera, S3, Oracle, Aerospike, Scality S3, Elasticsearch, AppDynamics, Kubernetes, FinTech, ACH/EFT, RTP, and FedNow experience.
  • Candidates must complete a background and drug screen and be able to perform the physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation.
