Responsibilities

  • Develop features for Roku OS.
  • Design and develop code maintenance and scalability solutions, including solutions that support onboarding new factories.
  • Integrate SoCs and perform platform bring-up.
  • Integrate third-party APIs.
  • Partner with internal QA and development teams, as well as external hardware component vendors.
  • Support QA and channel certification teams through end-to-end product development and release cycles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or another relevant field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant software development experience.
  • At least 2 years of C/C++ coding experience.
  • Preferred experience with SoC development and integration.
  • Experience developing and debugging on Linux or Android-based embedded platforms.
  • Understanding of Linux systems and kernel concepts, multithreading primitives, Linux tools, libraries, and open-source development.
  • Experience with streaming audio/video platforms, graphics, and industry standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced engineering environment.
