Responsibilities
- Develop end-to-end client-facing and data infrastructure features, including data processing, database selection, data modeling, and implementation.
- Collaborate with product managers and software engineers to deliver complex products.
- Analyze and improve the performance, scalability, and stability of systems, environments, and tools.
- Contribute to technical communities through meetups, blog posts, conferences, and open-source projects when interested.
Requirements
- 5+ years of development experience.
- Experience in data engineering focused on Apache Spark with Scala or PySpark.
- Experience with high-throughput, low-latency, mission-critical distributed systems.
- Strong English communication skills.
- B.Sc. in Computer Sciences or equivalent experience.
- Bonus: experience with large-scale production databases, Airflow, BigQuery ETL and databases, Go backend services, or Clojure backend services.
- Bonus: an AI mindset and familiarity with productivity tools such as Cursor or GitHub Copilot.
